Day – 1
Makassar – Sengkang – Enrekang
Flight to Makassar, capital of Sulawesi (morning flight)
Home Sengkang and then depart for the lake (5 hours by car) stops along the way for sightseeing, then start long motorized canoes to explore the riches of Lake Tempe, its birdlife, dozens of egrets, herons … fly as and when our boat makes its way into an amazing world of plants that closes behind us … Meet the fishermen who live permanently on the lake on floating bamboo houses, the return visit a weaving silk before taking the road to Engrekang, great view of the mountains and the valley. Installing Bambapuang Resort Hotel (7 bungalow with a unique view of the valley and mountain bambapuang) Overnight
Day-2
ENREKANG – Rantepao (COUNTRY TORAJA) (dinner)
After breakfast, depart for Toraja by a mountain road with stunning scenery, stopping along the way for sightseeing. (2h30 drive)
Installation LUTA or Misiliana with swimming pool, free afternoon or opportunity to attend a funeral feast if there that day. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Day-3
COUNTRY TORAJA (dinner)
Day of exploring the fascinating country TORAJA, to be organized by the local guide according to any ceremonies, which we will attend you.
The Toraja live in houses shaped boats and worship the water buffalo
only animal capable of carrying the souls of the dead on their way to their ancestors. They organize grandiose funeral ceremonies lasting several days, and their graves and hanging systems installed in the cliffs are famous.
Day-4
Rantepao – Batutumonga (dinner)
The morning continued with visits to visit the colorful market Makale or Rantepao (depending on the day), starting a beautiful hike through bamboo forests and rice fields to the village of Mountain Batutumonga. (about 3 hours)
Arrival in a mountain lodge, with views across the valley and the rice terraces. Dinner and night in a room facing the valley, or in the big house Toraja shaped boat. The conditions are basic but the location is outstanding.
Day-5
Batutumonga – Rantepao (dinner)
After breakfast served overlooking the valley, Walk to rock Lok’omata You can cross the children from school, villagers preparing the market, manufacturers craftsmen knives …. Back to Rantepao and following visits: villages and KETE Palawa with traditional family houses called Tongkonan, or participation in a Toraja ceremony. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day-6
Rantepao – Makassar (airport)
After breakfast, return to the airport in Makassar. Lunch enroute.
